The short version
Every product here blocks domains, and they all do it competently. Blocking is a solved problem and not a reason to choose between them.
The difference is what happens to the log afterwards. Most of these hand you domains and let you interpret them. - Pi-hole is free if you have hardware and are happy maintaining it. NextDNS and AdGuard DNS both have free tiers. DNSight is paid on every plan.
- Can I run DNSight alongside another tool?
- A device points at one resolver at a time, but many people run Pi-hole on the home LAN and DNSight on phones that leave the house.
- Do all of these block ads?
- Yes. Blocking coverage is not where these products meaningfully differ.
